A memorable night of celebration for CanCan Diagnostics

Scotland’s Life Sciences Awards 2026 is a prestigious annual conference and awards which brings together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to celebrate outstanding individuals and teams across nine categories.

From an impressive list of finalists, the winners were announced at a glittering ceremony on 12th March at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

Roslin Innovation Centre was delighted to have several tenant companies amongst the finalists and CanCan Diagnostics was a winner in the ‘Innovation: Animal Health, Agritech and Aquaculture’ category, in recognition of  their work in developing and commercialising advanced molecular diagnostic solutions for dogs with cancer, designed to address critical unmet needs in veterinary clinical practice.

CanCan Diagnostics has developed a less invasive form of screening, applying innovative technology in the early diagnosis and monitoring of canine cancer, one of the leading causes of death in dogs.

The 2026 Awards highlighted key innovations in sustainability, health tech, and agriculture. 

Roslin Innovation Centre was the sponsor of the Innovation: Animal Health, AgriTech, and Aquaculture category. This highlighted the focus on ‘A3’ and One Health sectors, which are central to the Centre’s mission on the University of Edinburgh’s Easter Bush Campus.
